" The Grimaldi Forum Monaco presents “Couleurs!”, an exhibition devoted to a modern history of colour through great 20th century masterpieces from the Centre Pompidou’s collection. Over 100 works are exhibited, including paintings by around 30 major artists, from Sonia Delaunay to Jean-Michel Basquiat, including Pablo Picasso, Amedeo Modigliani, Henri Matisse, Wassily Kandinsky and more... A veritable sensory and visual journey invites visitors to rethink their perception of colour in modern art. At the heart of the exhibition, seven monochromatic spaces are enhanced with sound creations by composer Roque Rivas, created with Ircam, and olfactory atmospheres developed by “nose” Alexis Dadier with Maison Fragonard. These unique installations allow visitors to experience colour not only visually, but also through other senses: hearing and smell. As the exhibition continues, visitors will find iconic design pieces by Ron Arad, Jean Prouvé, Ettore Sottsass and Philippe Starck, in installations especially designed by Marion Mailaender, connecting artworks and design objects. By creating interior atmospheres, the French architect and designer shows art in a different light, by immersing it in everyday life. "
